Air Fryer Beef Jerky

Ingredients

– 1 pound of beef (I prefer flank steak or sirloin)
– 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– 1 tablespoon brown sugar
– 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Equipment Needed

– Air fryer
– Sharp knife
– Cutting board
– Zip-top bag or container for marinating
– Mixing bowl

Step-by-Step Instructions

To make my air fryer beef jerky, I first start by slicing the beef against the grain into thin strips. This is crucial for that tender bite we all love. If you’re unsure, try to aim for about 1/4-inch thickness. The thinner the strips, the crunchier and drier your jerky will become—so keep that in mind! After slicing, I place the beef strips in a zip-top bag. In a mixing bowl, I combine the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Once everything is combined, I pour it over the beef in the zip-top bag, seal it tightly, and give it a good shake. I then let it marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours, but if I have the time, I like to let it sit overnight for even more flavor. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
