Ingredients
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 packet of taco seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Optional: diced avocado, sliced jalapeños, or lime wedges for serving
Equipment Needed
- Large skillet
- Wooden spoon or spatula
- Measuring cups
- Serving plate
- Knife and cutting board
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, I get my large skillet heated over medium-high heat. Once it’s nice and hot, I add the ground beef and cook until it’s browned, about 5 to 7 minutes. I love the sizzling sound of the meat as it cooks! Once browned, I drain any excess fat and then sprinkle in the taco seasoning, mixing it thoroughly with the beef. The aroma of the spices is just divine. At this point, I usually taste a bit to ensure the seasoning is to my liking. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
