Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 taco seasoning packet (or homemade seasoning)
- 2 cups shredded cheese (like cheddar or Monterey Jack)
- 4 large tortillas
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Equipment Needed
- Large skillet
- Wooden spoon or spatula
- Measuring cups and spoons
- Cheese grater (if using block cheese)
- Cooking spatula
- Serving platter
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, I heat my skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. I like to break it apart with my spatula as it cooks. The moment the beef hits the pan, the sizzle and aroma fill my kitchen with a mouthwatering scent. Once itβs browned, I drain any excess fat (if needed) and season the beef with taco seasoning, allowing it to infuse with flavor. I usually add a splash of water to help the spices meld together nicely. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
