Ingredients

– 8 oz rotini or fusilli pasta
– 6 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled
– 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
– 1 cup lettuce, chopped (I love using romaine for extra crunch)
– 1/2 cup mayonnaise
– 1/4 cup sour cream
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– Optional: chives or green onions for garnish

Equipment Needed

– Large pot for boiling pasta
– Colander for draining
– Mixing bowl
– Whisk for the dressing
– Serving bowl

Step-by-Step Instructions

First, start by cooking your pasta according to the package directions. I usually add a generous sprinkle of salt to the boiling water; it really enhances the pasta’s flavor. Once the pasta is cooked to al dente perfection, drain it in a colander and rinse it under cold water to stop the cooking process. The last thing you want is mushy pasta!
