– 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
– 1 cup breadcrumbs
– 2 tablespoons butter, melted
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Equipment Needed
– Large mixing bowl
– 9×13 inch baking dish
– Measuring cups and spoons
– Whisk
– Spoon or spatula
– Oven mitts
Step-by-Step Instructions
To begin, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, diced ham, and Swiss cheese. Then, in another bowl, mix together the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and Dijon mustard. I find that Dijon mustard adds a lovely depth of flavor that elevates the entire dish. Pour the soup mixture into the meat and cheese mixture, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir everything together until it’s well combined. This step smells amazing! The tanginess from the mustard with the creamy soup creates an irresistible aroma in my kitchen. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
