Ingredients
– 8 ounces of pasta (I prefer rotini or bowtie)
– 1 cup of crab meat (fresh or canned)
– 1/2 cup of diced celery
– 1/2 cup of diced red bell pepper
– 1/4 cup of chopped green onions
– 1/4 cup of mayonnaise
– 2 tablespoons of sour cream
– 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
– 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Equipment Needed
– Large pot for boiling pasta
– Colander for draining
– Large mixing bowl
– Measuring cups and spoons
– Wooden spoon or spatula for mixing
– Knife and cutting board
Step-by-Step Instructions
First things first, I start by boiling a large pot of salted water. While waiting for the water to boil, I grab my pasta of choice and add it to the pot once it’s bubbling away. I cook the pasta according to the package instructions until it’s al dente, then drain it in a colander and let it cool slightly. The texture here is so important; I love it when the pasta has a nice bite to it! (See the next page below to continue steps…)
