Ingredients
– 12 ounces bowtie pasta
– 1 pound ground beef
– 1 medium onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
– 1 cup milk
– 16 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Equipment Needed
– Large pot for boiling pasta
– Skillet for cooking beef and onions
– Mixing bowl
– Spoon or spatula for stirring
– Measuring cups and spoons
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, I bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook my bowtie pasta according to the package instructions. You want it al dente since it will continue to cook slightly when combined with the sauce. Once it’s cooked, I drain the pasta and set it aside while I prepare the beef mixture. The aroma of boiling pasta fills my kitchen with a familiar warmth that makes my mouth water. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
