Crockpot Loaded Steak and Potato Bake

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds of steak (I usually go for sirloin or flank)
  • 4 large russet potatoes, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 cup of beef broth
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 cup of chopped green onions
  • Optional toppings: additional green onions, and extra cheese

Equipment Needed

  • Crockpot (slow cooker)
  • Cutting board
  • Knife
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Mixing bowl
  • Tongs or a spatula

Step-by-Step Instructions

Let’s get cooking! To start, I like to prep my ingredients first. Chop the steak into bite-sized pieces and season it with salt, pepper, and paprika. Next, I get the veggies ready: dice the potatoes, chop the onion, and mince the garlic. Once everything is prepped, I take my trusty Crockpot and start layering. First, I place half of the diced potatoes at the bottom of the pot, followed by half of the steak and then half of the onions and garlic. Repeat this layer until everything is used up. This layering technique really helps the flavors meld together beautifully. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
