Ingredients
– 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
– 1 cup long-grain white rice
– 1 can cream of chicken soup
– 1 can of French onion soup
– 1 cup water
– 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Equipment Needed
– 9×13 inch baking dish
– Mixing bowl
– Measuring cups and spoons
– Aluminum foil
– Oven mitts
Step-by-Step Instructions
First, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). While that warms up, I like to grab a large mixing bowl and combine the cream of chicken soup, French onion soup, and water. This creamy mixture is what makes the dish so rich and flavorful, and trust me, the aroma alone is worth it! Once combined, spread the long-grain rice evenly in the bottom of a greased baking dish, and pour the creamy soup mixture over the rice, making sure to cover it well. Then, take your seasoned chicken breasts and place them on top of the rice, gently pressing them into the mixture. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
