Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small head of green cabbage, chopped
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for spice)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Equipment Needed
- Large skillet or sauté pan
- Wooden spoon or spatula
- Chopping board
- Knife
- Measuring spoons
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, I heat the olive oil in my large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is shimmering, I add in the diced onion and let it sauté for about 3-4 minutes, or until it becomes translucent. The smell of onions cooking always brings a smile to my face! After that, I toss in the minced garlic and sauté it briefly, just until fragrant. It’s important not to overdo it here; burnt garlic can be bitter. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
