Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Optional: chopped herbs for garnish
Equipment Needed
- Large skillet
- Mixing bowl
- 9×13-inch baking dish
- Knife and cutting board
- Aluminum foil
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, I like to preheat my oven to 350°F (175°C). While the oven is heating up, I grab a large skillet and brown the ground beef over medium heat. I always make sure to drain any excess fat to avoid a greasy casserole. Once the beef is browned, I toss in the chopped onions and sauté them until they’re translucent. It creates such a delicious aroma in my kitchen! I then mix in the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, and combine everything well. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
