Ingredients
- 8 large lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Equipment Needed
- Large pot for boiling pasta
- Mixing bowl
- Baking dish (9×13 inches)
- Baking sheet
- Aluminum foil
- Cooking spray
- Wooden spoon
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. While it’s heating up, let’s prepare the meatballs. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix it all together until well combined, and then roll the mixture into small meatballs (about an inch in diameter). Once the water is boiling, carefully add the lasagna noodles and cook according to package directions until al dente, which usually takes about 8-10 minutes. Drain the noodles and set them aside on a baking sheet to avoid sticking. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
