Step-by-Step Instructions
First, I start by heating the olive oil in my large pot over medium heat. I love the sound it makes as it warms up. Then, I add in my ground beef or sausage, letting it brown nicely. It’s at this moment that the aroma of garlic fills the kitchen, and I can hardly contain my excitement for what’s to come. Once browned, I toss in the diced onion and sauté until they’re translucent. Adding the minced garlic next brings everything together beautifully. Once that fragrant mix is ready, I dump in the crushed tomatoes and broth, followed by my Italian seasoning.
