Rotel Cream Cheese Sausage Balls

Ingredients

– 1 pound ground sausage (I love using spicy sausage for an extra kick)
– 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
– 1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes and green chiles, drained
– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (sharp cheddar works great)
– 1 cup all-purpose flour
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Equipment Needed

– Large mixing bowl
– Baking sheet
– Parchment paper or silicone baking mat
– Mixing spoon or spatula
– Oven

Step-by-Step Instructions

To start, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and ground sausage. I usually use my hands for this part since it helps blend everything nicely together! Once well-combined, add the drained Rotel, shredded cheddar cheese, flour, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix everything until it’s nicely incorporated. The mixture will be a little sticky, but that’s totally normal! It’s the perfect texture for rolling into balls. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
