Salisbury Steak Meatballs

Ingredients

– 1 pound ground beef
– 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
– 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
– 1/4 cup milk
– 1 egg
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– 1 cup beef broth
– 1 tablespoon cornstarch
– 1 tablespoon water
– 2 tablespoons olive oil

Equipment Needed

– Large mixing bowl
– Baking sheet
– Non-stick skillet
– Measuring cups and spoons
– Stove
– Whisk

Step-by-Step Instructions

To start, I preheat my oven to 400°F (200°C). While that’s warming up, I grab a large mixing bowl and combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, milk, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. I love the aroma of the garlic powder mixing with the beef—so inviting! Once everything is mixed well, I form the mixture into meatballs, about the size of a golf ball. I usually get around 12 to 14 meatballs, depending on how generous I’m feeling. Then, I place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
