Skillet Corn

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of fresh corn (you can use frozen if needed)
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Equipment Needed

  • Large skillet (preferably cast iron)
  • Wooden spoon or spatula
  • Knife and cutting board
  • Measuring spoons
  • Serving dish

Step-by-Step Instructions

Let’s dive into the fun part! First, heat the butter and olive oil in your skillet over medium heat. As it melts, the inviting aroma of the butter will start to fill your kitchen — it’s one of my favorite smells! Next, add the chopped onion and sauté it until it’s translucent, which usually takes about 3-4 minutes. That’s when you’ll add the minced garlic, stirring it all together until fragrant, about 30 seconds or so. I promise you; your mouth will start watering. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
