Ingredients
– 4 bone-in pork chops
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
– 2 cups chicken broth
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon onion powder
– 1 teaspoon paprika
– 2 tablespoons flour (for thickening)
– Fresh parsley, for garnish
Equipment Needed
– A large skillet or frying pan
– Tongs for flipping
– A whisk
– A measuring cup and spoons
– A cutting board
– A chef’s knife
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, season both sides of the pork chops generously with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops and sear them for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they’re beautifully browned. This step really locks in the flavors and creates a lovely crust. Once they are cooked, remove them from the skillet and set them aside on a plate. Remember to cover them to keep them warm. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
