Ingredients
– 8 oz spaghetti
– 2 cups fresh spinach
– 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 tbsp olive oil
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Equipment Needed
– Large pot for boiling spaghetti
– Large skillet for the sauce
– Mixing spoon
– Measuring cups and spoons
– Grater for cheese
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. I usually aim for al dente since it keeps the pasta from becoming mushy. As that’s happening, I like to prepare my sauce. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and add the minced garlic. The aroma that fills my kitchen at this stage is utterly delightful! Cook the garlic for about a minute until it’s fragrant, but be careful not to burn it. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
