Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, I like to prepare all my ingredients first—this makes the process so much smoother. In a large mixing bowl, I combine the ground beef (or turkey), chopped spinach, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, and egg. Using my hands, I gently mix everything until it’s well combined but not overworked. It’s key to keep the mixture light! Once the ingredients are mixed, I prepare to stuff them, which is where the mozzarella comes in. I take a small handful of the meat mixture and flatten it in the palm of my hand, placing a cube of mozzarella in the center before wrapping the meat around it. This step is super fun!
