Ingredients
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 bag of your favorite herbal tea (I prefer peppermint!)
- 1 bag of green tea
- 1 tablespoon honey (or to taste)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Lemon slices (for garnish, optional)
- A sprinkle of cayenne (for a little kick, optional)
Equipment Needed
- A kettle or a pot for boiling water
- Measuring spoons
- A mug
- A spoon for stirring
- Optional: a thermometer (if you want to get fancy about temperatures!)
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, bring 1 cup of water to a rolling boil. I love using my kettle for this step because it heats the water quickly and evenly. Once the water is ready, pour it over the bagged teas in your mug. Itβs always a delight to watch the hot water dance around the tea bags, activating their flavors and scents. Let that steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea. The aroma should fill your kitchen by now! (See the next page below to continue steps…)
