Step-by-Step Instructions
To begin, I pour the warm water into a large mixing bowl and sprinkle the yeast and sugar on top. I let it sit for about five minutes until it’s frothy. The smell of the yeast rising is just wonderful! In another bowl, I combine the flour and salt. After the yeast mixture is ready, I gradually mix in the flour using a wooden spoon until it comes together into a dough. I then transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it for about 5-7 minutes. The dough should be soft and slightly tacky, and the aroma is absolutely intoxicating!
