Cheesy Taco Stuffed Shells

Ingredients

– Jumbo pasta shells
– Ground beef or turkey
– Taco seasoning
– Refried beans
– Salsa
– Cream cheese
– Shredded cheddar cheese
– Shredded mozzarella cheese
– Sour cream (for serving, optional)
– Fresh cilantro (for garnish, optional)

Equipment Needed

– Large pot for boiling shells
– Large skillet
– Mixing bowl
– Baking dish
– Spoon or spatula
– Oven

Step-by-Step Instructions

To get started, boil a large pot of water and add a little salt to it. Once the water is bubbling, drop in your jumbo pasta shells. Cook them according to the package instructions but take them out a minute or two early to ensure they don’t get too soft. They’ll continue to cook in the oven! While the shells are cooking, I like to prepare the filling. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef or turkey over medium heat. Once it’s cooked through, drain any excess fat and add the taco seasoning, refried beans, and some salsa for moisture. Stir everything together until well blended and nice and warm.
