Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 package frozen cheese tortellini (about 9 ounces)
- 1 jar marinara sauce (approximately 24 ounces)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)
Equipment Needed
- Large skillet
- 9×13 inch baking dish
- Spoon or spatula
- Oven
Step-by-Step Instructions
First, I start by browning the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. As the beef cooks, the wonderful smell fills my kitchen, and it’s just the start of something fantastic. I like to break it up with a spatula and let it cook until it’s no longer pink. Once that’s done, I drain any excess fat and add in the Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper for flavor. Then, I pour in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes. This step really brings everything together, creating a rich and savory mixture. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
