Step-by-Step Instructions

First, I start by preheating my oven to 375°F (190°C). Then, in a large mixing bowl, I combine the ground beef or Italian sausage, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Using my hands, I mix everything until well combined, being careful not to overwork the meat. I find that mixing it with my hands really helps to bring all those flavors together.
