Ingredients
– 2 cups of cooked rice
– 1 lb chicken breast, diced
– 1 cup chicken broth
– 4 tablespoons garlic butter (or plain butter with minced garlic)
– 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
– 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, or your choice)
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Equipment Needed
– Large mixing bowl
– 9×13-inch baking dish
– Skillet
– Spoon for mixing
– Aluminum foil
Step-by-Step Instructions
To start, preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large skillet, melt the garlic butter over medium heat and add the diced chicken. Sauté until the chicken is cooked through and lightly golden, usually around 5-7 minutes. Removing the chicken gives me such satisfaction, and the aroma of garlic fills my kitchen. Once cooked, transfer the chicken to a large mixing bowl. (See the next page below to continue steps…)
